6 08 2007

My friend Julia has kindly created a sidebar logo for the paleo-oriented blog carnival The Boneyard. Stick it on your blog today!

Tell me how and I’ll do it!

I shall try!

The best thing to do is to save the image in your own space. Assuming you can do that, then just follow what I’ve done and sub in your own details. Otherwise, copy the codes (you’ll need to remove the spaces I’ve put either side of the “<“s) – I have 1GB of bandwidth and don’t mind hosting it.

So the logo is saved at http://www.juliaheathcote.com/boneyard.jpg (or wherever you store it – Blogger has an image upload facility but I don’t know if you can do it without making a post). The code you will need to sub into your sidebar is:

Just change the image source URL to whatever it is on your site, or in fact use mine. Remember to remove the spaces I’ve put in around the tag symbols. Hope that all makes sense. If you’re having problems working out where to put the code in your template, if you copy the code and send it to me – julia @ juliaheathcote . com, then I’ll have a look and tell you where it needs to go.

Oh **** – it didn’t take the code. Hold on – I’ll write it as a blog entry and post the link.

Okay (sorry Brian for spamming your comment form – feel free to delete the previous two comments). Zach, the code you’ll need is on my blog now. If you don’t know where to put it in your sidebar, send me the template (copy and paste it into an e-mail to julia @ juliaheathcote.com) and I’ll try to work it out – I don’t have a Blogger template anymore though, so I’m not 100% sure myself.

Thanks Julia! The spam filter sometimes gets a little overzealous, and you’re probably better acquainted with the blogger format. I usually just use the img src coe for the image and add a hyperlink around it with the a href code, but I don’t know if other blogging platforms can edit widgets that same way I can. Thanks for making the icon and the help!
